The HD3817T and the HD38V17T are two extremely high moisture and temperature active transmitters with 4-20 mA current or 0-10 Vdc voltage outputs, respectively. Absolute humidity is the value of mass of water vapor divided by the measured volume of air and is expressed in g/m3. The HD3817T family of transmitters could be employed in monitoring humidity levels of materials during a drying operation. When materials are dried through heating or a hot air flow, the air absolute humidity increases correspondingly with the amount of water lost by the materials. A monitoring system for measurement of absolute sultriness, could balance a stable humidity level by steam injection or water sprinkling in the environment, if required. Often such transmitters are utilized in chemical, textile, food industry, in the manufacture and maintenance of paper, in wood drying operations, even in processes with extreme temperatures and humid excursions.
